We recently welcomed high-level delegations from the US State of Georgia to County Wexford, building on our already strong relationships with Savannah. During their visit, opportunities for further collaboration in economic development, education, civic engagement, and tourism were actively explored.
From August 25th to 27th, members of the Georgia Economic Development Committee, alongside representatives from World Trade Centre Savannah and the Savannah Economic Development Authority, participated in an economic and trade conference at the Georgia Southern University Learning Centre and Wexford County Council. Discussions centred on enhancing trade between Georgia and Ireland, with presentations from IDA Ireland, PwC, Rosslare Europort, and local businesses such as Kersia and Stafford Bonded.
This visit underscore the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships between County Wexford and the State of Georgia, and we are excited about the opportunities ahead!
